This week’s session is all about developing power in the full swing and introducing the pull shot as a key scoring option. Players will work on swinging with greater intent, driving the ball harder, and learning how to transfer their bodyweight effectively to generate more force.
Alongside this, players will be introduced to the pull shot—a skill that helps them take advantage of shorter balls and expand their scoring range. The goal isn’t perfection, but giving them a feel for when and how to use it.
Keep the energy high, focus on committed movement and strong contact, and encourage players to embrace the challenge of hitting with more power. Let them explore, experiment, and enjoy the progress.
🔁 Players should aim to complete the full session twice this week to maximise development.
Activity 1: Drop Feeds Step and Hits
Duration: 5–10 minutes
Repetitions: 20–30 balls
In this activity, you’ll receive drop feeds and focus on stepping into the ball with intent to generate powerful full swings. The aim is to use forward momentum and timing to hit the ball with force, developing explosiveness and balance. Each repetition involves an aggressive step followed by a clean strike.

Activity 2: Underarm Midwicket 6 Hits
