At Unleashed Batting, we simplify the game. We help players build the fundamentals that matter, understand what makes them successful and develop the confidence to perform when it counts.
Our coaching is individualised, collaborative and built around one goal: helping every batter discover what their best looks like — and produce it more often.
What does an Unleashed Batter look like?
There is no one way to bat. We don’t try to create players who look, think or play the same. We help each batter understand their own game, build the skills that matter and develop an approach they can trust.
They look to score.
Scoring runs is the game. We develop batters whose first instinct is to look for opportunities to score, while building the decision-making and reactions required to defend when they need to.
They understand their process.
Performance will always fluctuate. A strong process gives players something they can rely on. We help batters develop the routines, habits and thought processes that allow them to prepare well, make clear decisions and perform consistently.
They play spin and pace.
We believe playing spin is just as important as playing pace. We give batters the skills, options and confidence to score against both, rather than allowing one type of bowling to dictate how they play.
They back themselves.
Confidence doesn't mean expecting to succeed every time. It means trusting your game regardless of the outcome. We want batters who know their strengths, commit to their decisions and have the confidence to play their way.

Our Programs
Every batter is at a different stage of their game. That’s why Unleashed Batting offers a range of coaching and development options designed to meet players where they are.
From junior development programs and small-group training through to individual coaching, high-performance programs and ongoing mentoring, players can access the level of support that suits their age, experience and goals.
Whatever the program, the approach remains the same: individualised coaching, clear development systems and genuine support designed to help every batter get better and perform with confidence.
Private Coaching
Our private coaching takes a long-term approach to development, because meaningful improvement happens over seasons, not individual sessions.
We coach the whole batter. That means developing technical skills, while placing just as much emphasis on the mental and tactical side of batting — understanding your game, making better decisions and building a process you can trust.
We also recognise that private coaching should look different for every player. A beginner picking up a bat for the first time requires a very different approach to an experienced senior or professional player. Our coaches have experience working across that entire spectrum.
Whether you’re looking for a one-off session, a 10–20 session development block or a complete season-long coaching and mentoring program, we can match you with the right coach and level of support for your game.
Group Coaching
Our expanding list of group training options gives players the opportunity to train in a more social environment where they can still access the benefits of the Unleashed approach to batting.
We run a variety of different group training options including our parent and player program, our popular holiday batting skills camps, regional batting programs and one-off skills sessions for teams and schools.

Our Coaches
Daine Macdonald
Junior Batting Specialist
Daine is a core part of the Unleashed Batting coaching team and leads our junior development programs.
A former Brisbane First Grade top-order batter, Daine brings genuine playing experience alongside an extensive background in junior coaching. He has worked across the school and club systems, including experience as a First XI coach and within the Lords Taverners pathway, as well as working extensively with young players through Unleashed Batting.
Daine specialises in helping junior batters build strong foundations, develop confidence and better understand their game. His coaching style aligns closely with the Unleashed philosophy — keep things simple, develop the skills that matter and help each player become the best version of themselves.
Tom
Rowley
Founder of Unleashed Batting and Senior Specialist
Tom is the founder and Head Coach of Unleashed Batting and has built his coaching career around helping players better understand their game and what makes them successful.
A specialist batting coach, Tom has extensive experience working with players across all levels of the game — from juniors picking up a bat for the first time through to senior, representative and professional cricketers. He has also worked extensively within school and pathway cricket, including as a First XI coach.
Tom’s coaching philosophy centres around simplifying batting, developing confident decision-makers and treating every player as an individual. Rather than coaching one technical model, he works collaboratively with players to develop the skills, processes and understanding they need to perform.
Through Unleashed, Tom’s focus extends beyond individual sessions to providing the coaching, mentoring and ongoing support that helps players develop over the course of a season and beyond..
