Underarms Straight Full Swings Competition (2 Zones)
Duration: 10–15 minutes
Repetitions: 30–60 balls
Activity Overview:
In this competitive drill, the batter will receive underarm throws and attempt to hit the ball through one of two zones straight down the ground.
Zone 1 (Wider gap): Positioned either side of the bowler for clean straight drives.
Zone 2 (Middle gap): A narrower target directly past the bowler, rewarding precise timing and placement.
Scoring System:
3 points for hitting the ball cleanly through the narrow middle gap (Zone 2).
1 point for hitting through the wider outer gap (Zone 1).
2 points awarded to the coach if the batter misses, mishits, or doesn’t control the direction.
Competition Objective:
First to 15 points wins. Batters are encouraged to swing fully and with intent, focusing on balance, timing, and footwork to consistently drive the ball through the target zones.
Tip: Mark the zones visually with cones to give clear feedback and improve the challenge.
