Underarm Spin Throw Competition (1 Zone)

Duration: 10–15 minutes
Repetitions: 30–60 balls

Activity Overview:
In this competitive drill, players face underarm spin throws and attempt to hit the ball through a single designated gap (e.g. straight, mid-off, or mid-on). The goal is to encourage precision, focus, and repeatable execution against spin in a fun, gamified format.

Scoring System:

  • 🎯 1 Point to the batter for each successful shot through the zone

  • 1 Point to the coach for every missed target (including mis-hits or off-line shots)

  • 🏆 First to 15 points wins the round

Instructions:

  • Set up a clear single scoring zone with cones (e.g., straight drive lane).

  • The batter receives underarm spin throws.

  • The batter can use any swing type (full, check, or alternating), unless otherwise instructed for a specific version.

  • Encourage players to focus on balance, control, and purposeful shot execution.
