Fundamentals First
Each session is grounded in the key pillars of elite batting: swing mechanics, body movement efficiency, and a strong, confident mindset.Game-Ready Skill Development
Build critical match skills including decision-making, gap hitting, and situational awareness—so your training directly transfers to performance.High-Impact, Low-Ratio Coaching
With a 1:6 coach-to-player ratio, every athlete receives personalised attention, feedback, and support throughout the day.Pure Batting Focus
This isn’t a general skills clinic—it’s a batting-specific training camp. Every drill, cue, and session is designed to make you a better batter, faster.Pads On, All In
Strap the pads on at the start of the day—and leave them on. Our immersive format maximises time in the middle and ensures deep skill repetition.More Time Hitting, Less Time Waiting
With just 2 players per net, you’ll hit more balls, get more feedback, and spend less time standing around—because skill comes from reps, not rest.Video Analysis That Accelerates Learning
Every player will receive professional video feedback capturing key moments from their session. Coaches will break down swing mechanics, movement patterns, and decision-making cues—helping players understand exactly what’s working and what needs refining.
Coaching Team
About Ian
Dr. Ian Renshaw, a retired Associate Professor in Skill Acquisition, is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in constraints-led coaching and athlete development. His expertise has shaped high-performance environments across elite sport, including advisory roles with England Cricket, New Zealand Cricket, as well as teams in the NRL and NBA.
Beyond his academic achievements, Ian is perhaps best known as the father of Australian Test batsman Matt Renshaw. The innovative tools and activities Ian employed during Matt’s formative years were instrumental in his development, and Matt often attributes his professional success to those formative training experiences with his father.
Ian now brings this unique blend of academic insight and real-world coaching impact to the Unleashed Batting Camps. Participants will gain a fresh perspective on how to take control of their training, guided by one of the foremost experts in skill mastery and purposeful practice.
About Tom
Tom Rowley is the founder and head coach of Unleashed Batting and Performance, where he has earned a strong reputation as one of Brisbane’s leading batting coaches. He works closely with a wide range of athletes—from Premier Grade cricketers to those with professional experience—providing high-level technical and mindset-based support.
As a player, Tom was a standout performer in Brisbane Premier Grade cricket, scoring eight first-grade centuries for Toombul Cricket Club. His coaching philosophy is shaped by his deep playing experience and a progressive, player-first mindset. Rather than enforcing a one-size-fits-all method, Tom helps players uncover and refine their own natural way of batting.
At the Unleashed Skills Camps, Tom takes a hands-on approach—guiding players through the core foundations of batting: learning how to swing the bat freely, move with purpose and efficiency, and approach the game with a positive, high-performance mindset.
